Peter Clyne

Independent Director

Peter Clyne has spent 37 years in the aerospace & defense and government IT services industry, including senior executive roles in M&A, strategy, business development, and treasury. Currently an independent consultant, he was the Sr. Vice President of Corporate Development at Leidos, following the merger of Lockheed Martin’s IS&GS division with Leidos in 2016. In his 33 years at Lockheed Martin and its predecessor companies, IBM Federal Systems and Loral, Peter held a wide variety of positions in M&A, finance, strategy, and business development. He was VP of Mergers & Acquisitions at both Lockheed Martin’s corporate headquarters and later at its IS&GS line of business. While in the corporation’s treasury organization, he was President of the Lockheed Martin Finance Corporation where he led a team that arranged customer financing to enable the corporation’s international sales of aircraft, satellites, and launch vehicles. 


A summa cum laude graduate of Purdue University, he has been a guest lecturer at Purdue’s Krannert School of Management, as well as the University of Maryland and Georgetown University. He also serves as an arbitration judge for FINRA and is a member of the board of directors of the Brain Wellness Fund, a charity devoted to providing neurofeedback treatment for PTSD and traumatic brain injury.
